Company profile:

AirportLabs is a product company that develops and implements its own software solutions to streamline airport operations.

We work with airports around the world—over 85 so far, including some of the largest in terms of passenger and flight volume. We’ve learned that every airport comes with its own unique challenges, but a decade spent solving problems that exist only in the busiest hubs in the world has given us the most valuable lessons: how to build technology that never fails, no matter the pressure it faces.

We work on systems that affect millions of travellers, usually without them even knowing. Behind every travel experience that goes exactly as it should, there is a lot of technology – and often one of our solutions.

Airports operate around the clock, and every detail in our software can make a difference. We know that behind every operation there is a journey that matters to someone. That’s why we build carefully, test thoroughly, and stand by our clients in any situation.

We build software that connects the world – a kind of work that chooses you just as much as you choose it.

Field of activity: IT, aviation technology, specifically focusing on airport operations management software

Provider of specialized software solutions for efficient airport operations.

Message for the participants:

Hello, Noaptea Companiilor!
We’ve been connecting the world with Romanian technology for 10 years, building products for airports across the globe. And now, we’re opening the doors at AirportLabs!

Come and see how we build aviation software – systems that run non-stop in some of the world’s most complex airports. If you’ve ever wondered what the technology behind your last flight looks like, and what it’s like to work in such a fascinating field — step in!

You’ll meet the people who, when defining a product strategy, can change the face of aviation — but who still aren’t sure whether they fell in love with aviation and then found this job, or the other way around.

We’re a team that takes work seriously, but has fun together — at the office, in the mountains, or sometimes even while flying.
We’re waiting for you!

19:00 – 20:00 Discussion Panel: Let’s Talk Product

Product Management at AirportLabs — how we build technology products that support airport operations worldwide.

At AirportLabs, we create innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions that make airports operate smarter and more efficiently. But behind every product is a team of people managing challenges, priorities, and opportunities — balancing the needs of airports, passengers, and technology.

Our panel brings together product specialists from across the company — Product Managers, Project Managers, and Business Analysts — for an open discussion on how we turn ideas into impactful aviation products. We’ll cover collaboration, decision-making, lessons learned, and the realities of managing products in such a complex and dynamic environment.

Whether you work in tech, are at the start of your career, considering a professional transition, curious about product management, or simply want to better understand how products are built for complex industries, you’ll leave with new perspectives and practical examples directly from the team that creates these technologies every day.

Day 2 – 23 October, 2025

18:00 – 18:30 Warm-up & Socialising

18:30 – 19:00 AirportLabs Intro

19:00 – 20:00 Discussion Panel: From Paper to Automation – A Technical Deep Dive into Migrating Airport Operations

How do you build a system that decides in seconds where to park an aircraft when the data is constantly changing and mistakes are not an option?

At AirportLabs, we build technology that helps airports operate smarter, safer, and more efficiently. It’s a fascinating field — systems must run non-stop, handle complex data, and meet real technical challenges.

If you’ve ever wondered how systems make complex decisions in real time, how synchronisation between critical elements is managed, or you’re simply curious about what engineering looks like for such challenges — this is our technical story of automated gate allocation at airports.
