Construction engineers, medics, teachers, bank officers, many of our QA engineers came from different backgrounds. In this presentation I want to share my experience while transitioning from a psychologist to QA and describe what skills from my previous career helped me switch to QA engineering, what comparisons can be made between cognitive systems and software development and what psychological knowledge I can use to better perform in my team.
